Oh, what's that? A new journey!
Hi and hello. Welcome to my new blog. My name is Trix, and I'm going to use this space for creative writing and memoir writing. Even publishing original philosophy. But first, let me introduce myself!
Who am I?
I'm 32 years old, but could've been 82. At least with what I've gone through. My grandmother used to say that I had gone through more than most people her age had gone through. And I was 20 at the time. I'm not saying this to seem better than others or to be on a high horse; I'm just stating a neutral fact. I'm not better for going through things, of course not, but I know some things and I want to share them. Hopefully, it can make others feel less alone. Hopefully, it can educate others just a little bit as well!
I'm a very creative person. I have always wanted to become an author, but I have other hobbies and skills as well. I have played musical instruments since childhood, and I'm self-taught on the piano, for example. I like photography and filmmaking, so that's why I started my YouTube channel. I have published several books on my own and also contributed to several anthologies, although in Swedish, which is my native language. My self-published books are in both English and Swedish.
Other things I enjoy are DIY projects like making jewellery and sculptures, 3D modeling and digital art, and tabletop roleplaying games, preferably solo play. I have another blog about solo ttrpg, which you can visit here.
What I will post here
On this blog, I plan to post the following things:
- Memoirs
- Original Philosophy (I do think a lot!)
- Creative writing such as short stories, book excerpts, poetry, novellas, etc!
- Articles about trauma awareness and living with disability
- Rants about things I care about!
Who is this blog for?
This blog is for people who enjoy independent writing and want to support small writers in the genre of nonfiction such as memoirs, poetry, and philosophy, and fiction like LGBTQ+ romance, mystery, fantasy and horror.
It's also for people who want to learn more about living with trauma and disability, or just enjoy another person's perspective on the world.
So what's next?
I'm planning on posting every other day or week depending on my health. I will write more about my disabilities and limitations in an upcoming blog post. Because that's important to understand when reading this blog, that I aim to be consistent, but I simply have limitations due to my disability.
Also, do visit my hand-coded website on web.trixjoyce.com for more creativity!
But yeah, I see you in my next post. I have a lot of content planned...
