Projects I'm working on right now!
I'm working on quite a few things right now. I'm in a creative writing and coding time in my life right now! I tend to hyperfixate on things, and now it's written stories and learning more coding. I plan on posting about it here as well, but first... An overview!
Writing projects
I write on several stories, one horror short story and one mystery novella. I also have a fantasy novella I'm working on. I tend to have 3-4 different projects at different difficulty levels, so I can easily switch between them if I get bored. Life with ADHD and autism...
Horror short story
No name yet, but it's about time and playing with time frames, and a surreal, dreamy feeling that something is not right... Both scary and cozy!
Sheila's Voice - mystery novella
A story about Holly, who is an established writer, visits her godfather in a rural town in England. She quickly figures out that the town is not as it should be, and she is left dealing with stalking, mysterious and scary events, and a weird girl next door named Sheila.
The Remarkable Ones - fantasy novella
Four very different people get drawn into a whimsical fantasy world and are now trying to leave without being captured.
Coding projects
I used to work with UI/UX design and coding, but after post-traumatic stress and burnout, I forgot everything I knew about coding. Now I'm re-learning what I used to know, and even more, by doing small projects. Here are a few of them:
Digital Art Gallery
I'm working on a project that is a digital art gallery, and the idea is this: you step into a room where you can look around, and all the "paintings" are coded interactive artworks.
Trixaria
I have my own creative world online called "Trixaria". You can visit it on trixaria.com
Happiness Ninja
A web application about humorous self-care. This is a very basic prototype for the moment.
Small experiments
Other small experiments can be an album interactive card with my music, different profiles for my original characters, and my fantasy worlds, etc.
So what's on the agenda today?
Time is just lunchtime here. I'm planning on watching a domestika.org-course on creative coding. I think creative coding and coding as art are a great entrance to more advanced coding in the future. Right now I'm a little bit basic, but I'm learning something new every day!
I will also do a writing and journaling course on Udemy.com. I love Dale Darley's course "Writing to heal. Using journaling to transform your life". It's good both for people who want to publish their writing and for people who just want to learn journaling exercises. I'm currently going through this course for the second time!
So that's what I'm going to do.
